Welcome
The North End Mothers’ Club, founded in 1911, is a group of women from throughout Evanston who are interested in supporting Evanston’s children. Our purpose is to promote and advance educational, charitable, civic, health and welfare activities in Evanston and support and assist organizations dedicated to these purposes. The Club’s primary charitable focus is on providing three scholarships to seniors graduating from Evanston Township High School, The NEMC Senior Girl’s Award, the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) Scholarship and the Joanne Murphy Trautwein Music Award, and on donating money to local youth-oriented organizations.
The primary fund raiser for the Club is the Fortnightly dance class open to all Evanston 6th and 7th graders. Running continuously since 1917, Fortnightly introduces students to social dance and etiquette.
The North End Mothers’ Club founded the Evanston 4th of July parade and fireworks in 1922 and continues to support the Evanston Fourth of July Association.
